Recently, I was in Los Angeles for work. During my week there, I knew there were a handful of places I absolutely had to visit during my off hours... Pinup Girl Clothing Boutique was at the top of that list!

This was my second visit to their Burbank boutique. The displays were different and gorgeous (as always), and everything was just perfect!

Display in the back of the boutique. I want all of these, especially those darling striped cigarette pants!
My favorite outfit display in the boutique just in front of the fitting area. Alas, they didn't have my size in the skirt or Peasant Top in house.

View from the back looking toward the front of the boutique. As you can see, there is ample variety to peruse!

For a plus-size lady, sometimes I find it difficult to wear form-fitting and flattering outfits. Clothing just isn't typically made to make all the curves of women like me beautiful. So, I'm beyond stoked when I happen upon brands that make form-fitting apparel that actually make me look and feel beautiful! Pinup Girl Clothing (aka "PUG") is definitely a brand that makes clothing for every body! In addition to a great fit at all sizes, the pieces are well made and are (usually) lined... a nice touch that really pushes a brand above others to me! Some pieces can be on the pricier side (with dresses topping $100); but, you are getting high-quality clothing for the price you pay at PUG! To put it into perspective, I'm the kind of person who normally shops at thrift shops and vintage malls for clothing (usually not spending more than $5-10 per piece), and I buy clothing from PUG because I know those pieces will last forever with proper care. I cannot say the same for clothing I've purchased at the mall or a department store...

Fitting room shot of Reggi. This Harley Top in Halloween Harlequin went home with me....
I see this becoming a tradition... every time I'm in L.A., even if it's just for a day, I'll make a stop to the Pinup Girl Clothing Boutique! You can never have too much PUG in your life!

First Impressions Score: A+

Pros:
  • High quality clothing
  • Beautiful designs and patterns that are very unique
  • Wide arrange of sizes that actually flatter plus-size women
  • Very friendly and supportive customer service
  • Good return/exchange policy
  • Large "on sale" selection online (www.pinupgirlclothing.com)

Cons:
  • Can be expensive per piece
  • Limited availability in XL and larger at the actual boutique (a lot more online)
  • New styles tend to sell out very fast in-store and online; usually takes a while to come back in stock
  • Only one boutique (in Burbank, California)

I hope you found this information helpful!

Cheers,
Reggi Rose
